SAY GOODBYE TO THE QUAD

After Thanksgiving break, students can expect delays on their way to the S and G buildings, as construction will begin on the all new quad.

As work continues on the new Performing Arts Building, Monte Vista will begin construction on the new blacktop in front of the old theater. Due to the new building, the county has asked the school to keep the same ratio of permeable to impermeable ground. Therefore, Dr. Salerno has chosen specific parts of the campus to beautify to meet the requirements. The quad, possibly the biggest area of blacktop on campus, will be replaced by permeable ground, in attempt to give the campus a new look while also helping the environment at the same time.

The new and improved black top area won’t just be a repaving of the current black top area but instead a completely new walkway. With a mixture of permeable and impermeable landscape to counteract the removal of the grass to build the new theater building. The plan is to add a nice pathway along side beautiful landscape to bring a new feel to the area.
