Senior Cory Souza is our photo editor and video announcements team member. He admittedly doesn’t like to write, and took journalism in part to be with his former coach, journalism teacher Isaiah Guzman. But Souza has a knack for finding stories that both make for good visual appeal and tackle real student issues. He is the son of a NASCAR driver, Todd Souza, and travels with his father to races from time to time to help in the pits. When he was little, Souza wanted to be a garbage man of all things, but now aims to be a firefighter. He’s getting the work ethic and physical fitness to do so by playing linebacker on the Mustangs football team. Cory and his girlfriend, senior Meghan Hendersen, have been going strong for two years.
